What Wen by Chaz Did for One Writer’s Hair

We’ve all seen the fabulous commercial for WEN. Founder Chaz Dean, who has the most gorgeous hair I’ve ever seen on a man, shakes out his models flowing locks of glimmering hair that perfectly shines. My favorite is the before and afters, where we see damaged, straw-like hair transformed into Rapunzel-looking cascades of health.

Wen by Chaz was recently featured on Bustle.com in one writer’s true review of her week-long experiment in using Wen cleansing conditioner for the first time. The kicker? The writer has incredibly fine hair, and a hectic work schedule, that make her the ideal candidate for us that have hair that isn’t as commercial-worthy and the ladies on Chaz’s commercials.

From the very start, I loved the writer’s brutal honesty. We all want gorgeous, shining hair, but we all are on time crunches, deadlines and we all have our own little hair “issues” we deal with in the quest for perfection. She made great points about how her hair transitioned when she used the product. She even mentioned that on day one she noticed it was already softer and had more bounce after just the first use.

As we follow her for a week, photos showcased show her hair getting shinier and overall a look of greater health. She closes the review by saying that although she washed her hair a bit more with Wen, she did see a noticeable softness and shine. She even stated that friends gave her compliments on the final day and that they, too, saw an improvement in her hair’s texture.

Just a bit of background on the company, Wen in the brainchild of Chaz Dean, who styles hair for Hollywood’s celebrity elite. The company has been around for 16 years and has sold over 40 million bottles of its luxurious products. According to crunchbase.com, the company is best known for its cleansing conditioner, that gently cleans hair while conditioning, replacing 5 total products. Check out your local Sephora beauty store or head over to Amazon.com if you need Wen.
